S. Katy Tucker - Video & Projection Designer
S. Katy Tucker is a co-founder and partner of beatbox designs, an interdisciplinary design firm, re-thinking and re-working the boundaries between art, architecture, entertainment and experience.
For the stage, Katy has worked with many world-renowned directors and designers realising and implementing video designs and environments.
Katy has worked on: Disney's "The Little Mermaid," directed by Francesca Zambello (asst), “American Fiesta” at The Vineyard, directed by Mark Brokaw (co-designer), “Red Hot + Riot” at BAM (co-designer), "Phallacy" Cherry Lane, “Clean” Urban Stages, “Ruby Sunrise” at the Humana Festival of New American Plays (Video Editor), & “Finding Nemo: The Musical” for Disney (assoc)
Opera works include “The Ring Cycle” at Washington National Opera and San Francisco Opera dir' Francesca Zambello (assoc).
Katy is currently working on a collaboration with Armitage Gone! Dance and painter David Salle at the Joyce Theatre and a video installation/performance of "Dido and Aeneas" at the Samsung Center.
